Set of 2 Postmodern Marble & Alabaster Table Lamps, 1980s
PRODUCT DETAILS
A pair of postmodern table lamps that bridge the gap between ancient architecture and 20th-century minimalism. Carved from solid stone, each lamp features a dark, architectural outer shell that cradles a fluted alabaster column. When lit, the translucent alabaster emits a soft, warm glow, highlighting the natural veins and textures of the stone.
The lamps are intentionally asymmetrical: one features a slightly warmer tone in the alabaster and rests on a dark wooden base, while the other stands directly on its stone foundation. This subtle variation adds a unique character and organic feel to the set.
Perfect as bedside lamps or as sculptural highlights on a sideboard. A heavy, high-quality testament to 1980s stone craftsmanship.
